Presence and Mobile Status information has a proven business model for operators. Early adopters of basic presence services (Busy/Idle) has benefitted from added services subscriptions based revenue, higher customer satisfaction, combined with a first mover advantage and customer lock-in (lower CHURN) effect from this added services.
Presence and Mobile Status information powers Communications Enabled Business Processes (CEBP), which can use rich presence to ensure that the right resources are available before the system reaches out to them to resolve a business problem.
Xentroniks NetPresence, the intelligent enhanced presence gateway collects and disseminates rich presence from a number of third party sources. By leveraging a set of collectors, which link the core presence capabilities with these other presence sources, NetPresence is able to bridge presence information across a diverse set of business environments.
The intelligent presence gateway works in concert with other presence-enabling capabilities provided by NetPresence. NetPresence
NetPresence provides real-time enhanced presence information from SIP, IMS and mobile networks via Telco 2.0 interfaces useable to a large number of diversified consumer and enterprise solutions. In doing so we subsequently help telecom operators deliver revenue generating presence-as-a-service to their end users and customers thereby turning presence into an asset providing increased ARPU while greatly reducing churn.
NetPresence extracts enhanced presence information from a large number of commercially available hosted VPN/Centrex solutions such as e.g. Broadworks, Alcatel CMM as well as directly from 3rd Party Presence Servers, HLR/VLR’s (MAP/SIGTRAN), SIP/IMS networks and many more.
NetPresence use cases
PBX Mobile Extension/integration: NetPresence will amongst others act as an enhanced presence gateway providing secured access to 3rd party switchboard solutions such as e.g. BluePosition providing aggregated presence information from any operator hosted communication solution. NetPresence provides secure access control of enterprise based switchboard solutions via SLA enforcement allowing presence and mobile status information exchange to take place in delivering presence information for each employee to the enterprise PBX– and Switchboard solution.
Microsoft OCS: NetPresence can also deliver real-time mobile status information from SIP, IMS, GSM and UMTS mobile networks via the internet to Microsoft™ Office Communications Server indicating amongst others (idle, busy, off) on Microsoft™ Office Communicator, Microsoft™ Outlook, Microsoft™ SharePoint, as well as all other applications that uses presence data from Microsoft™ Office Communications Server.
This opens a whole new dimension in using Microsoft™ Unified Communications while enabling office receptionists and staff to deliver optimal customer contact services, in knowing all staffs availability in advance.
